Sister Linda Mary DeLonais, OP

Sister Linda Mary said that when she first entered Sacred Heart Convent chapel for prayer more than a quarter century ago she was struck by the sheer beauty. “I knew God was calling me to religious life in community and was searching for that community. I was swept up in the beautiful voices of the sisters singing in prayer and was overwhelmed in peace and knew at that moment I was home.”

In her 25 years as a Dominican Sister of Springfield Sister Linda Mary has helped others experience beautiful prayer, first as youth minister and director of RICA and religious education at St. Jerome Parish, Troy, Ill., 1999-2002, then as campus minister at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School, Springfield, 2002-2016.
