Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die."

These words of Jesus to Martha, the sister of Lazarus in the Gospel of John contain the hopes all believers. Here we invite you to commemorate the deaths and honor the lives of our sisters who have died in the hope of eternal life.

Well done good and faithful servants!

In Memoriam: Remembering our Sisters

Each year we publish In Memoriam, a remembrance of our sisters who have died between November 1 and October 31 that year.

The deaths of our sisters leave a void as we mourn the loss of their physical presence. But we believe in the resurrection of the dead and life eternal! This belief helps us maintain a joyful, meaningful connection to these sisters and all our loved ones who have gone before us. We hold them in our prayer, knowing that they, who are loved eternally by their Creator, continue to love us as and intercede for us with their prayer as well.

In Memoriam is a simple booklet for remembering and reflecting on the gift and grace of our deceased sisters' lives.

If you, too, have a special relationship with one or more of these recently deceased Dominican Sisters of Springfield, we'd like to share our memories with you. To receive your own downloadable PDF copy of In Memoriam complete the form below.

You are also welcome to browse the sisters' obituaries below and share your memories with us.
