St. Dominic de Guzman founded the Order of Preachers, the Dominicans, in the 13th Century as an innovative response to the needs of the world.

Since Dominic's day, Dominican have been rooted in his vision for a religious community of women and men, ordained an lay, who preach the Gospel and change the world.
