Sacred Heart-Griffin High School is seeking its next president who, inspired by our Dominican values, will lead our school community as we build upon our tradition of academic excellence.
Sacred Heart-Griffin is a Catholic, Dominican college preparatory high school that welcomes a diverse population to pursue academic excellence within the Dominican values of study, prayer, service, and community. The Dominican Sisters of Springfield’s congregational leadership and SHG’s board of directors seek candidates who are mission-driven leaders who will uphold the Dominican Pillars.

The next president will be an energetic executive leader ready to make a difference. They will collaborate with faculty, display exemplary communication, be a visionary with passion deeply rooted in academic excellence, offer their expertise in financial and business management, and inspire confidence with stakeholders and the community.
The Board of Directors has chartered a search committee to identify the next SHG president. The Presidential Search Committee is charged with leading a transparent, inclusive, and successful search that leads to identifying a candidate to become SHG’s next president. The leadership team of the Dominican Sisters, who serve as the Member Board, will make the final appointment of the new president. The search committee is comprised of members of the SHG community, including board members, faculty, and alums.
“The Search Committee process is well underway,” shared Chris McDowell, M.D., SHG’s board president. “Stakeholder interviews have been completed, and we are actively seeking candidates. We are excited to work together with the Member Board to find the next inspiring leader for Sacred Heart-Griffin High School.”
The Board expects to announce the successful candidate’s name in early 2023. The new president will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2023, or sooner. All interested candidates can find the formal presidential prospectus and full job description at www.shg.org.
