Explosive Poem by Sister Catherine Ann Yager, OP

General_Assembly_Feb_6_2016.Still001-poemThe seven Sisters at Marian Catholic have been through a very rough patch with their housing – their boiler exploded and left them temporarily homeless. At the General Assembly this week Sister Jean Patrice Schnigel, OP gave details about their ordeal and their gracious hosts, the Franciscan Sisters, that took them in until they were able to return home. Sister Catherine Ann Yager, OP recited a poem she wrote about the whole experience that paints an amazing picture of a fire plume bursting out of the convent’s chimney, the struggle to keep up ministry and the kindness that grew without measure between the Springfield Dominican Sisters and the Franciscans.
