Dominican Sisters of Springfield participate in global Dominican gathering

Sister Mila Diáz Solano

Sisters Mila Diáz Solano and Doris Consuelo Terrel Jiménez will gather in Caleruega, Spain, the birthplace of St. Dominic, to learn from the history of the development of Dominican apostolic life for women.

Sisters M. Charmaine Kribs and Doris Consuelo Terrel Jiménez.

The event, scheduled Aug. 19–25 and hosted by the Dominican Sisters International Confederation (DSIC), will feature presentations by Sisters Barbara Reid, Ana Francisca Vergara, both Dominican, and Sabine Schratz, who will read the signs of our times and reflect on theology and contemplation at the service women's preaching.

Forty-eight younger sisters, representing thirty countries from the five continental areas of DSIC, will gather for this event.

Please pray for these Dominican women who will gather from across the globe, that their time together will be nurtured by Dominic’s own spirit of enthusiasm and limitless possibility, for the sake of the future of Dominican life and mission.
