55 countries representing 55 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions have signed the Paris Agreement on climate change to help reduce global pollution that drives climate change.
Pope Francis observes, “human beings, while capable
of the worst, are also capable of rising above themselves, choosing again what is good, and making a new start” (Laudato Si’ 205).
