"My aunt would LOVE a warm blanket," said Paula Tapocik Lantz, a frequent visitor at Sacred Heart Convent. Her aunt is Sister Anitia Tapocik, and Paula's frequent visits mean she is quite aware of how chilled Sister Anita feels.
Perhaps you, too, know an older person—or are one yourself—who feels the cold more acutely for various reasons: thinner skin, less fat, poor circulation, a heart condition, or treatment for serious health concerns.
If that is the case, then you understand why, for our sisters, a warm blanket can mean the difference between sleeplessness and a healthy night’s rest!
That is why we are asking our donors to provide this comforting warmth by helping us purchase two blanket warmers, one for each floor in our skilled nursing care facility.
These blanket warmers will prevent the need for piling multiple heavy blankets on fragile bodies for warmth—heavenly!
