My experience as a nurse from newborn through hospice care; as a Peruvian missionary, and my life-long love of nature enrich my approach to spiritual direction. I offer spiritual direction and retreats in English and Spanish at Jubilee Farm, a 164-acre Center for Ecology and Spirituality sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of Springfield.
Jubilee Farm is home to wildlife as well as a variety of hens, cats, llamas, alpacas. Wishing to sustainably use the fiber of our animals led me to learn spinning, weaving, and felting. I teach others how to weave their life stories and I prayerfully create woven shrouds for green burials.
During my time as a pastoral minister in San Juan de Jarpa, Peru, I had the rich experience of living and speaking in a culture different from my own. I continue to seek ways to improve my Spanish as one way to further support peace and justice issues of our time.
My educational background includes master's degrees in Pastoral Studies (concentration in Spiritual Direction) and Earth Literacy.
