Sister Rose Marie Riley, OP (Sister Mary Rachelle)

Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Park Forest, Ill., Sister Rose Marie Riley has given much of her vowed life to the spiritual gift St. Paul recognized as administration.

In 2019 she began a new administrative responsibility as the director of Jubilee Farm, the congregation’s earth spirituality and retreat facility on the western edge of Springfield. She brings many skills to that position, having at various times served as a member of the congregation’s general council (1997-2005) and as prioress general (2005-2014). Her other administrative duties have included St. Monica Home, Springfield (1981-1987), Poplar House Clinic, Rogers Ark. (1992-1996) and vice president of mission services, St. Mary’s-Rogers Memorial Hospital in Rogers. (1996-1997). During her years in congregational leadership she also served two terms as the North American Coordinator for the global organization Dominican Sisters International (2010-2016).

Sister Rose Marie began her vowed life as a primary school teacher, at St. Vincent DePaul School, Peoria, Ill. (1970-1975); Our Lady of Grace, Chicago (1975-198); and St. Lawrence O’Toole, Matteson (1992-1996). Thank you, Sister Rose Marie!
