Musings: “I visited convents in Springfield, Illinois, and in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, and didn’t know which to choose.” She recalls. “The Holy Spirit sent me to Springfield,” she says, admitting that, to her teenage sensibilities, the buildings in Springfield seemed neater, newer, and in better condition! She recommends religious life to young people who desire a close relationship with God, saying “You will have a peaceful place, quiet, time to pray, and you won’t have the distractions from your relationship with God that make the spiritual life challenging for parents. The support of community life is invaluable.”
