Scarves for the Victorious Missionaries

Sisters with Scarves for the Victorious Missionaries in Granite CityA group of Dominican Sisters of Springfield, Illinois have brought warmth and a little bit of hand-crafted love to the Victorious Missionaries of St. Elizabeth Parish in Granite City. In all, sixty-eight scarves were crocheted by six Dominican Sisters: Sr. Jeanine McGinley, Sr. Henrianne Schmidt, Sr. Mary Alan Russell, Sr. Mary Bede Duchene, Sr. Rosalima Blough and Sr. Dominga Moore. Along with other “Special Friends of the VMs,” they donated their handiwork to individuals with disabilities living in Granite City, Illinois called the Victorious Missionaries. It is hoped that these gifts will keep many people warm this winter. It certainly warmed the hearts of the Sisters be able to provide this service.
