Sister Mary Jo Sobieck, OP guides the Dominican Associate Session “A Call to Prayer and Preaching” at Sacred Heart Convent on Sunday September 14, 2014. The Associate Candidates discuss St. Dominic’s 9 ways of prayer, how he used his whole body to pray. Sister Mary Jo explains the skills needed for praying and preaching as a Dominican. Dominican Prayer is rooter in The Liturgy of the Hours, Morning Prayer (Lauds), Evening Prayer (Vespers), Night Prayer (Compline) and The Divine Office daily prayer throughout the day. Other prayer perspectives include Lectio Divina, devotionals, meditation contemplation, music, journaling and many other perspectives.

Sharing God’s life within us is preaching. Pass the Word on to others like a torch.
