Dominican Faith Camp 2014

Girls Grades 6-9 Enjoy Dominican Faith Camp

Twenty-four young women who will be entering grades 6-9 attended the 2014 Dominican Faith Camp held at Sacred Heart Convent July 27-29, 2014. The camp, sponsored by the Springfield Dominican Sisters, offers a mix of prayer time, recreational activities and opportunities to meet the Sisters and get a glimpse of religious life. Sister Arlene Chole, OP taught the campers about St. Catherine of Siena and dressed in a black and white Dominican habit similar to the habits in the 14th Century. The girls who attended this year included first timers and returning campers. Every girl was assigned a Sister Buddy, a member of the congregation who provided individual attention and prayed with them and for them. Vocation Director Sister Teresa Marron, OP was pleased with this year’s turnout and says a good time was had by all.

Music: “Be God’s” by Danielle Rose and “I Have Been Anointed” by Notre Dame Folk Choir http://ift.tt/1nIwsEj
